The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the major clash won’t take place until the third season, and a beloved, popular member has just been cast.
The streaming service revealed Tuesday that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Mr. 2. This character has the ability to morph into an exact copy of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the initial comic and animated series.
Escola is joined by multiple fresh additions who will portray the organization to the screen, featuring leader Mr. 0, played by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Even though this character is a major member of the organization, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Considering season 2 set to cover the Little Garden segment, this represents a major departure in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could indicate further changes to the narrative framework.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the character. Along with their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is set to return for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
