Former British Broadcasting Corporation Specialists Participate in MPs' Questioning In the Wake of Claims of Prejudice in Unauthorized Document

Ex- BBC specialists testifying at parliamentary committee

We start with queries from Tory Member of Parliament the committee chair, who oversees the committee.

She initiates by offering background to the unauthorized memo authored by Michael Prescott and released in a daily publication.

"I don't want the British Broadcasting Corporation slanting toward one side or the other, My only wish is for it neutral, impartial and equitable," he states.

Upon being questioned if he considers the British Broadcasting Corporation is structurally prejudiced, Prescott responds: "No I don't. It is important to note, tons of stuff the British Broadcasting Corporation creates is exceptional - both factual and fictional programming."

Nevertheless, he states: "There is significant effort that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

Another previous consultant British Broadcasting Corporation adviser questioned by the panel, Caroline Daniel, remarks she regards the BBC with great importance and that it maintains a "ongoing system and vigorous discourse" on fluid and multifaceted subjects.

"Did the BBC prepared to have a proper discussion and debate and act accordingly?" she reflects. "As I see it, yes they were."
