Correspondence Highlight Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon Ties

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK to deliver a speech at the Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to board a flight that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed speech don't think I can make the plane we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a gulf air departing at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an excellent helper".

These messages were released on Wednesday together with over 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets has been able to establish his identity by cross-referencing the timeline, events, and places mentioned.

For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, did not reply on the request for comment.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon served as Trump's key advisers in the lead-up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his first administration, but stepped down from the administration in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a documentary about Epstein before his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his podcast recently, he stated: "We're going to release the film, the multi-part documentary, next year - at the start of next year."

But the recently disclosed documents suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the conversation in which Epstein appeared to have booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the most highly paid booking agent in the world ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r pretty good assistant", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I will ensure you're well looked after."

UK Politics Mentioned in Exchanges

The released messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in 2018.

On the day of his address at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit thing this morning with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling UK prime minister at the time, he continued: "They are trying to proceed. May soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can uk. Ideal- so others get the dedication of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May survive". Bannon answered: "I don't see how BUT the people here have no balls" and added "Boris ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; Davis - someone has to step up".

May was finally removed in May 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed media: "Nigel Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting occurred.

The Congress will decide soon on whether the justice department should release all its records related to its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in jail in 2019.

Attention in Epstein's associations with powerful figures was reignited this week after the release of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

Some of those referenced Trump, who has repeatedly rejected any wrongdoing. The president was a friend of Epstein's for years, but says they parted ways in the 2000s, two years before Epstein was initially charged.
